The NNF constitutes a major R&D cluster,
built around eight synergistic sets of research infrastructure, skills and
expertise (the NNF Platforms), enabling a network of collaborators
in neuroscience.
The NNF Platforms include:
 |
Neurogenomics and Neuroproteomics |
 |
Australian Brain Bank Network (formerly
the National Neural Tissue Resource Centre) |
 |
Cellular Neurophysiology |
 |
Neuroscience Informatics |
 |
Neuroimaging |
 |
Integrative Neuroscience Facility |
 |
Clinical Neurobiology of Psychiatry |
 |
Neuroscience Trials Australia |
The platforms of the NNF are horizontally and vertically integrated to provide
a facility where researchers can access cutting-edge technologies appropriate
for every stage of research from concept phase through to clinical trials.
The NNF now has seven operational, nationally accessible platforms, with
the eighth (Clinical Neurobiology of Psychiatry) in the planning phase and
due to start receiving funding later in the year.
